Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Perform digital radiography (X-rays) and intraoral imaging with precision
- Manage sterilization protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Coordinate seamless patient flow from check-in to discharge
- Maintain detailed digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft
- Prepare treatment rooms and surgical instruments for optimal efficiency
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and dental software
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- Strong attention to detail in infection control protocols
- Valid Texas radiology permit (or eligible for immediate application)
