Responsibilities
- Assist the lead dentist and hygienist during examinations and treatment procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms with appropriate instruments, materials, and equipment.
- Take and develop high-quality digital and traditional dental radiographs.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization standards.
- Manage patient intake, update medical histories, and verify insurance information.
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene.
- Ensure the dental office is clean, organized, and welcoming.
Qualifications
- Current and active Ohio Dental Assistant license (RDA).
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, OpenDental).
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform fine motor skills.
