Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring optimal patient comfort and chair-side assistance.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) and process intraoral images accurately.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive dental practices.
- Manage patient records, update dental charts, and assist with insurance verification and billing inquiries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area and clinical environment.
- Perform chair-side suctioning, mixing materials, and preparing treatment areas efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required.
- CPR/BLS Certification from the American Heart Association must be current.
- Previous experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform manual dexterity tasks.
- Reliable transportation and valid Texas driver's license.
