Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital X-ray systems
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft practice management software
- Perform chairside assistance with suctioning, instrument transfer, and material mixing
- Implement infection control protocols following OSHA and CDC guidelines
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure optimal clinic efficiency
Qualifications
- Current Florida Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a general dentistry practice
- Proficiency with digital radiography and dental software
- CPR certification (American Heart Association)
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to calm anxious patients
- Detail-oriented approach to sterilization protocols
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
