Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and dental instruments for procedures, ensuring efficient workflow
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery and restorations
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization standards
- Manage patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
- Document patient records accurately using practice management software
Qualifications
- Active Florida Dental Assistant license or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental radiography and sterilization techniques
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Eaglesoft or Dentrix software preferred
