Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient acuity using advanced triage protocols
- Utilize provided digital tools (EHR systems, vital monitors) for accurate documentation
- Collaborate with physicians to coordinate patient flow and treatment plans
- Provide compassionate patient education and discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and emergency department protocols
- Lead emergency response procedures during critical incidents
- Mentor junior staff on triage best practices
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California
- 3+ years ED or urgent care experience
- BLS/ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) preferred
