Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using SBAR protocols to determine acuity levels
- Coordinate with emergency department physicians and specialists for critical cases
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with real-time documentation
- Provide clear triage instructions to patients via phone and telehealth platforms
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow
- Implement infection control protocols and emergency response procedures
- Mentor junior staff on triage best practices and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Active Arizona RN license with minimum 2 years ER/trauma experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems and telehealth platforms
- Exceptional critical thinking under pressure situations
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Experience with pediatric/adult triage protocols
- BSN preferred with CEN certification
