- Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, and transportation per lab protocols
- Maintain sterile workstations with supplied phlebotomy kits and safety gear
- Document patient information and test results in EMR systems
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
- Provide patient education during blood collection procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare teams for efficient specimen processing
Qualifications
- Current Hawaii Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical blood collection experience
- Proficiency with provided automated phlebotomy systems
- Strong knowledge of anatomical site selection and venipuncture techniques
- CPR certification and BLS preferred
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment
