Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties: instrument transfer, suction management, and four-handed dentistry
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays) with digital imaging technology
- Implement strict infection control protocols and instrument sterilization procedures
- Manage patient scheduling, recall systems, and digital chart documentation
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for patient visits
- Provide post-procedure instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
Qualifications
- Accredited dental assisting program certification or equivalent experience
- Active Pennsylvania dental radiography license
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- Exceptional communication and chairside manner skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong attention to detail and infection control compliance
