Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Perform chair-side duties such as instrument transfer, suction management, and patient retraction
- Execute digital radiography and intraoral imaging with precision
- Maintain sterile environments through proper sterilization and infection control protocols
- Manage patient education and comfort throughout treatment procedures
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
- Utilize Eaglesoft practice management software for scheduling and record-keeping
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis/Sirona systems preferred)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- CPR certification with current BLS credentials
- Exceptional chair-side communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- Experience with dental anesthesia administration (nitrous oxide/local)
