Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations, cleanings, and various dental procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to strict safety protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) under supervision.
- Explain post-operative instructions and oral hygiene care to patients.
- Manage patient records, schedule appointments, and handle check-ins.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the reception area and operatory.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step instructions.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift equipment.
- Willingness to complete state-mandated training courses and certifications.
- Basic computer literacy is preferred.
