Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties including instrument transfer, suction management, and material preparation
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and treatment procedures
- Handle digital charting and practice management software
- Coordinate patient flow and appointment scheduling
- Maintain inventory and order dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant license (RDA)
- Certificate from accredited dental assisting program
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification
- Exceptional communication and patient interaction skills
- Strong attention to detail and infection control knowledge
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced clinical environment
