Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with proper safety protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain inventory of dental supplies
- Administer patient care including taking vitals, applying topical anesthetics, and post-operative instructions
- Manage digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure optimal clinic efficiency
- Assist in infection control compliance and OSHA standards implementation
Qualifications
- Current Colorado Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Coronal polishing and sealant application certification preferred
- Experience with digital radiography and intraoral cameras
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication skills and patient rapport abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
