Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties: instrument transfer, suction management, and four-handed dentistry
- Capture and develop high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital systems
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control procedures (OSHA/CDC compliance)
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for efficient patient flow
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour study models for prosthetics
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Qualifications
- Active RDA license or Dental Assistant certification from accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general or cosmetic dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-ray) and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification and knowledge of emergency protocols
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to put anxious patients at ease
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
