Responsibilities
- Preparation: Assist in preparing operating rooms and equipment for surgical procedures.
- Assistance: Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during operations, anticipating needs.
- Sterilization: Maintain strict sterile field protocols and sterilize instruments.
- Patient Care: Monitor patient vitals and ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Documentation: Accurately record procedures and instrument counts.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certification eligible.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- 1-3 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical anatomy.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
