Job Overview:
We are looking for a professional who takes pride in patient care and accuracy. In this role, you will work closely with pharmacists to ensure the safe and effective dispensing of medications while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Responsibilities
- Medication Preparation: Accurately prepare and package prescription medications according to doctor's orders and safety protocols.
- Quality Control: Verify patient information, drug interactions, and dosage calculations before dispensing.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels, receiving shipments, and organizing stock.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent service to patients and healthcare professionals by answering questions and resolving concerns.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all state and federal pharmacy laws, including HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification: RPhTech certification (or ASCP) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Pharmacy Technician diploma preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in pharmacy software systems (e.g., Rx30, Cerner, McKesson).
- License: Valid North Carolina Pharmacy Technician license.
