Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person patient assessments using established triage protocols
- Provide clinical guidance to patients regarding appropriate level of care
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for complex cases
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Implement emergency response protocols for critical situations
- Educate patients on self-care and preventive health measures
- Monitor patient flow and optimize departmental efficiency
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 3 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficient in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities with diverse populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
