Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients through conversation and activities
- Assist with daily living activities including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and personal care
- Transport clients to appointments and social engagements
- Monitor client health status and report changes to care team
- Administer medication reminders and basic first aid
- Maintain detailed care notes and client records
- Adhere to care plans and safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Compassionate nature with patience and empathy
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication and active listening skills
- Trustworthy background with clean criminal record
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to complete paid certification training
