Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using advanced triage systems and diagnostic equipment
- Prioritize emergency cases based on severity and clinical urgency
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop care pathways
- Document patient encounters accurately in our EHR system with provided tablets
- Provide clear patient education on treatment protocols and follow-up care
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and emergency department protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and trauma response drills
Qualifications
- Active Nebraska RN license with minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency with electronic health records and triage technology
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills for diverse patient interactions
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Experience with Epic EHR preferred
- BSN degree preferred
