Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
- Communicate changes in patient condition and needs to the nursing staff and physicians.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control standards.
- Document all patient care activities and observations accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program.
- Current Illinois state CNA license (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 50 lbs safely.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- Reliable transportation to the facility.
