Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and on time.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Monitor and report any changes in a patient's physical or mental condition to the charge nurse or supervisor immediately.
- Assist patients with feeding and hydration as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infection and ensure comfort.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or active enrollment in a state-approved CNA training program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a fast-paced healthcare team.
- Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
