Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Report any changes in a patient's condition, behavior, or physical appearance to the nursing staff immediately.
- Document patient care activities and observations accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required (or enrollment in an accredited CNA program with graduation expected).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
