Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with patient daily living activities (bathing, dressing, mobility)
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient intake/output, and health status changes
- Assist with therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation protocols under RN supervision
- Maintain clean, sanitized patient environments and infection control standards
- Facilitate positive patient/family communication and emotional support
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
- Participate in shift reports and handoffs for seamless continuity of care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Current NC CNA certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Compassionate demeanor with commitment to patient dignity
