Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patient dietary requirements.
- Turn, reposition, and move patients to prevent bedsores and ensure patient comfort.
- Assist nurses with medical equipment and procedures as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or completion of a state-approved nursing assistant program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- CPR certification is a plus for entry-level applicants.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others.
