Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately.
- Support patients with mobility and safe transfer techniques using assistive devices.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient status and concerns.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for all patients and visitors.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as necessary to ensure proper nutrition.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Willingness to obtain state licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Strong empathy, patience, and a desire to work with the elderly or medically fragile population.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
