Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Take and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and report any concerns to the RN or LPN immediately.
- Transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers safely.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation logs.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current New York State CNA Certification.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate and patient-oriented demeanor.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
