Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene assistance.
- Assist patients with mobility and safely transfer them to beds, wheelchairs, or walkers.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with meals, feeding, and ensuring proper hydration for all residents.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff, patients, and families regarding patient status.
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient needs to ensure a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active Texas CNA License (or willingness to obtain one).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy and patient advocacy.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients up to 50 lbs safely.
- Basic computer proficiency for electronic charting.
- Willingness to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
