Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with mobility transfers and positioning using proper techniques
- Support nurses in maintaining clean, organized patient rooms
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards
- Participate in shift reports and care planning meetings
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current Wisconsin CNA certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (hospital provides training)
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for diverse patient populations
- Attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
