Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with mobility transfers and use of medical equipment
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain clean and safe patient environments
- Support emotional well-being of patients through compassionate interaction
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Texas CNA certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (training provided)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate attitude toward elderly patients
- No prior experience necessary – training provided!
