Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and monitoring, including taking vital signs and assessing patient conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and licensed nurse practitioners.
- Document patient medical history, symptoms, and progress in electronic health records accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-care instructions.
- Assist in emergency situations and respond to patient needs with composure and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program.
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (may be obtained during training).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
