Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate care to patients, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions and individual preferences.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient conditions and needs.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in accordance with health department standards.
- Support the nursing staff with documentation and report any changes in a patient's condition immediately.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; willingness to obtain CNA certification is required.
- Certification: Current CNA certification or eligibility to obtain certification through our training program.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and excellent written/oral communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical activities as needed.
- Personal Qualities: Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
