Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming) to residents while maintaining dignity
- Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and behavioral changes
- Assist with mobility transfers and therapeutic exercises
- Support nutritional needs during meal times and ensure dietary compliance
- Collaborate with nurses and care teams to develop/update care plans
- Maintain clean, organized resident environments and infection control protocols
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active New Mexico CNA certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Compassionate attitude with geriatric care experience preferred
