In this pivotal role, you will serve as the first line of defense for our patients, utilizing your clinical expertise to assess symptoms, determine the urgency of care, and facilitate appropriate treatment pathways.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive telephone and online patient assessments to determine the acuity of symptoms.
- Apply critical thinking to differentiate between urgent, emergent, and non-emergent conditions.
- Make accurate clinical decisions regarding patient disposition and referrals.
- Document patient interactions and triage assessments in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) with precision.
- Collaborate with physicians and care coordinators to ensure seamless patient continuity.
- Provide clear, empathetic health education to patients and families.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Washington State RN License.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or Triage nursing.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of patient confidentiality.
