Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument passing, suction, and patient comfort
- Sterilize and maintain dental equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental X-rays after proper training
- Manage patient scheduling and recall systems
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal infection control
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients
- Order dental supplies and inventory management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior dental experience necessary – we provide full training!
- Basic computer proficiency (EMR systems a plus)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods with manual dexterity
- CPR certification (will be provided if not already certified)
- New Jersey X-ray license (training available)
- Reliable transportation to Newark location
