Responsibilities
- Support providers during patient examinations and procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain sterile environments
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Manage patient flow and appointment scheduling
- Update electronic health records (EHR) accurately
- Assist with lab specimen collection and processing
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical setting
- Basic computer proficiency with EHR systems
- Florida Medical Assistant certification (or eligible)
