Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, managing the front desk efficiently.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and basic procedures.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean environment.
- Assist with basic laboratory tests and point-of-care testing (POCT).
- Manage patient records electronically and ensure confidentiality.
- Coordinate appointments and handle incoming calls professionally.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a medical office is preferred but not required for this entry-level position.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn EHR software quickly.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or NCMA is a plus but not mandatory.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
