Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient vitals and health assessments.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Prepare patients for exams and ensure examination rooms are stocked and sanitized.
- Manage patient records, update EMR systems accurately, and maintain confidentiality.
- Administer medications and perform basic laboratory tests as directed.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups and provide education on treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency in EMR/EHR software (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
