Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and record data accurately.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment before patient visits.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort.
- Manage patient intake, including updating medical histories and verifying insurance information.
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as phlebotomy and urine analysis.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
- Handle administrative duties including scheduling appointments and answering phone inquiries.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- 1+ years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and staff.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
