Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Prepare patients for examinations and take vital signs
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Perform EKGs and basic laboratory tests
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic health documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) desired
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize clinical tasks effectively
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
