Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, medical equipment, and supplies
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab tests
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Manage patient records, scheduling, and insurance documentation
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Attention to detail with excellent organizational abilities
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license (if required for facility visits)
