Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic Medical Assistant to join our clinical staff. You will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive high-quality care, assisting providers with examinations, and managing daily clinic operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical visits.
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccinations as authorized by licensed providers.
- Perform and document vital signs, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests accurately.
- Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR), and maintain confidential documentation.
- Coordinate patient schedules, answer inquiries, and facilitate effective communication between patients and the medical team.
- Enforce strict infection control and safety protocols to maintain a sterile environment.
- Assist with administrative duties such as front desk support or insurance verification as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) preferred.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician practice or outpatient setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced medical setting.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) software is highly desirable.
