Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and initial screenings.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and manage patient medical records and Electronic Health Records (EHR) accurately.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Assist with basic laboratory tasks, including phlebotomy and specimen collection.
- Coordinate patient scheduling and manage incoming communications.
- Provide patient education regarding treatment plans and medications.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR/EHR systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.
