Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to provide exceptional patient care in our busy clinic. You will play a vital role in the healthcare delivery team, ensuring our patients feel comfortable and receive the highest quality of care.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and accurate medical history assessments.
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Prepare and maintain accurate medical records and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs as required.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-up appointments.
- Ensure the examination rooms are stocked, sanitized, and ready for patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) or equivalent experience.
- Current Michigan State Medical Assistant License (or ability to obtain).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications (if applicable to specialty).
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
