Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and medical equipment
- Perform vital signs and basic lab tests (EKG, phlebotomy)
- Update electronic health records (EHR) accurately
- Schedule patient appointments and manage phone inquiries
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Previous healthcare experience a plus but not required
