Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop and implement comprehensive, individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established medical protocols and hospital standards.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and promptly report any changes or adverse reactions to the healthcare team.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and disease management.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and medical records.
- Respond to emergencies with appropriate clinical interventions and de-escalation techniques.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply for our mentorship programs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
