Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize medical equipment, and maintain a clean clinical environment.
- Collect and prepare lab specimens, including blood draws, for analysis.
- Take and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and medical histories.
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccines as directed by the provider.
- Perform basic EKG and spirometry testing under supervision.
- Manage patient intake, including updating electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; CMA or RMA certification is a plus but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Attention to detail and adherence to HIPAA compliance standards.
- Reliable transportation is required.
