Responsibilities
- Deliver Exceptional Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans under the supervision of experienced charge nurses.
- Monitor Patient Status: Regularly monitor vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress to ensure optimal recovery and safety.
- Collaborative Practice: Work effectively within an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and communicate updates to physicians and families.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer prescribed medications and treatments in strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough electronic health records (EHR) for every patient interaction.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State Board of Nursing (Minnesota).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred for new hires.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Compassion: Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a strong desire to serve the community.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using computer systems and electronic health record (EHR) software.
