Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and patient intake procedures accurately.
- Assist providers during examinations, minor procedures, and routine check-ups.
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical instruments to maintain a safe environment.
- Manage patient records, schedule appointments, and verify insurance information.
- Provide patient education on preventative care and medication instructions.
- Administer injections and medications under the direct supervision of a licensed physician.
- Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming front-desk area.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking healthcare environment.
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Willingness to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
