Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, managing the front desk efficiently.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, taking vital signs, and recording medical history.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine analysis, following strict protocols.
- Handle patient scheduling, insurance verification, and referrals.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certificate or Associate degree in Medical Assisting preferred, but willing to train motivated candidates.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with EHR systems is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
