Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to monitor patient health status and identify changes in condition.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and hospital protocols.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Regularly monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature.
- Documentation: Accurately and timely document patient care activities, symptoms, and responses to treatment in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient care plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency codes and assist in code blue situations as directed.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred or required within 6 months of hire.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on empathy and patient-centered care.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks required in patient care.
